The McGraw-Hill eBook lets users access their course textbooks anytime, anywhere on their smartphone or tablet – even if they’re offline.
Challenges
Redesign the eBook experience and modernize it so that students can now take advantage of McGraw-Hill’s growing digital database and have their study material everywhere they go.
Goals
For the MVP I was tasked to design the overall look and journey of the end to end process on how a student will signup, interact, purchase, archive, and annotate notes within the product.
Sketches Early concepts on how the eBook could function.
Role
Lead designer who was responsible for creating the style guide and helping to add design patterns to a simultaneously built design system called Connect. I was the only designer working with a Researcher and Product Manager to strategize the roadmap of this product, conduct stakeholder design reviews, work with the Engineer leads on iterations, sketching, designing, wire-framing, and conducting usability testing.
